Company Reflections: Don Owens' Keynote at USHA’s Second Annual Hydrogen Policy Leaders Convention

On March 2, 2024, Don Owens, founder and chairman of HNO International, took the stage as the keynote speaker at USHA’s Second Annual Hydrogen Policy Leaders Convention in Tysons Corner, VA. His address, titled "Regional Hydrogen Production: Transitioning the World Away From Fossil Fuels and Black Carbon," resonated with policymakers and industry stakeholders gathered from across the United States. Owens delved into a spectrum of pressing issues, ranging from our world dependence on the fossil fuel energy infrastructure, to black carbon’s role in accelerating climate change. However, amidst the challenges, Owens outlined solutions through a regional and local approach to clean and green hydrogen production, distribution, and refueling with SHEP and CHRS.

Don Owens, the founder of HNO International, emphasized the critical role of hydrogen in transitioning away from fossil fuels and combating black carbon, a major environmental pollutant at our Second Annual Hydrogen Policy Leaders Convention. He introduced his company's innovations, including the Scalable Hydrogen Energy Platform (SHEP) and the Compact Hydrogen Refueling Station (CHRS), aimed at promoting regional hydrogen production and distribution. These initiatives are designed to make green hydrogen accessible and affordable, supporting various applications while addressing the urgent need to reduce black carbon emissions. Don's approach underscores the necessity of immediate action and practical solutions in the shift towards sustainable energy. We appreciate him for taking the time to speak with us!”

Thank you, Senator Dr. Pat Spearman of Nevada. We know that energy equity and accessibility are achievable with hydrogen, if implemented the right way.
